Gonzales Main Street is proud to recognize The Reese Law Firm, L.L.P. as the July Business of the Month. With deep roots in the community and a strong commitment to legal excellence, the firm has served Gonzales and surrounding counties for more than two decades.

Founded on October 2, 2003, by Gonzales native Noel Henry Reese, the firm was previously known as Reese & Escobar, L.L.P. Today, The Reese Law Firm, L.L.P. operates from the historic second floor of 417 St. George Street, right in the heart of downtown Gonzales. The firm is home to three full-time attorneys, an office manager, and a paralegal, offering legal counsel in a wide range of practice areas.

A Legacy of Legal Leadership

Founding partner Noel H. Reese has built a reputation as a dedicated trial lawyer with a broad portfolio of experience. After graduating with honors from Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Reese earned his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1991 and went on to complete his law degree at the University of Texas School of Law in 1994. He became licensed to practice in Texas in 1995 and later in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in 1999. In 2022, he furthered his education with a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University, concentrating on energy law and policy.

Over the years, Mr. Reese has tried numerous felony and misdemeanor cases, securing not-guilty verdicts in complex trials involving DWI, Attempted Capital Murder, Burglary, and more. His practice also includes family law, civil litigation, estate planning, probate, real estate, and business law.

Expanding the Firm with Strong Local Ties

In August 2024, Allison Lanty joined the firm as a partner, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in criminal law. Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1997, Lanty is a seasoned litigator who has served both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney.

Lanty’s ties to Gonzales County date back to 1994, when she served as Assistant District Attorney for the 25th Judicial District. Over the years, she has worked extensively with juvenile cases, child welfare matters, and the Gonzales County Children’s Advocacy Center. Her current practice includes criminal defense, family law, probate, and estate planning.

The firm’s legacy continues with the addition of Clayton M. Reese, who became a partner in October 2024. A Gonzales native and graduate of Texas Lutheran University and South Texas College of Law Houston, Clayton Reese brings a modern perspective and valuable experience gained from practicing construction law in Houston. His current focus includes family law, estate planning, real estate, construction law, criminal defense, and general civil litigation.
