On Thursday, as part of Research and Innovation Week, Cambrian College opened the Hanson Venture Lab, the school’s entrepreneurial space at its Barrydowne campus.
The college said the new facility will foster entrepreneurship opportunities and experiences for students, alumni and the community through workshops, lectures, collaborations with existing entrepreneurs, and networking.
Hanson College contributed $1.3 million for the construction and equipping of the Venture Lab, as well as an endowment fund to support student entrepreneurs.
“For 20 years, we have worked together with Cambrian College to see students grow, thrive, and succeed,” Shouyi Ma, president and CEO of Hanson College, said in a release. “With this new facility, I hope we will continue with that legacy of dedication to student success for more years to come.”
